If you are experiencing symptoms that have persisted for more than a month after a traumatic event and are interfering with your daily life, work, or relationships, it may be time to seek professional help. PTSD does not resolve on its own in most cases, but with evidence-based treatment, the majority of patients experience significant improvement in symptoms and quality of life.
