Telehealth psychiatry, also called telepsychiatry, is the delivery of psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and therapy through secure video conferencing technology. During a telehealth appointment, you meet with your psychiatrist or therapist face-to-face via a HIPAA-compliant video platform, just as you would in an office visit. Our telehealth platform is accessible from any smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and internet connection. No special software downloads are required.

Most of our psychiatric services can be delivered effectively via telehealth. Some services, such as TMS therapy and certain initial comprehensive evaluations, require in-person visits. Your provider will let you know if an in-person appointment is needed.

Insurance Verification Our team will verify your insurance coverage for telehealth services before your appointment. Most major plans cover telehealth at the same rate as in-person visits.

Receive Your Secure Link Before your appointment, you will receive a secure link to join your video session. All you need is a device with a camera, a stable internet connection, and a private space where you can speak freely.

Available to patients throughout the Greater San Antonio area including Bexar County, Comal County, Kendall County, and surrounding communities. Particularly valuable for patients in Stone Oak, Boerne, New Braunfels, Helotes, and Alamo Heights. Telehealth is ideal for San Antonio patients who travel frequently, have mobility limitations, or live further from our NW Military Hwy clinic.

Telehealth is an excellent option for medication management follow-ups between in-person visits. Note: TMS therapy requires in-person visits at our Corpus Christi location and is not available via telehealth.

Telehealth is an excellent complement to our in-person Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at the Edinburg clinic.

Insurance Coverage for Telehealth
Telehealth appointments are covered by most major insurance plans. In most cases, telehealth copays and coverage are identical to in-person visits. Our team verifies your insurance coverage before your appointment.
